Hall of Fame Awards Presentation Sold Out!

On November 3rd 2018 the Southeastern Indiana Musician’s Association Inc. hosted its 18th annual Hall of Fame Award Induction Ceremony and Concert. This year the organization inducted 6 local musicians into the Hall of Fame along with 3 distinguished inductees and educators in the community. All proceeds from the event go to supporting music in schools and establishing a music scholarship fund in Dearborn, Ripley, Ohio, and Switzerland Counties.

We are humbled by the outpour of support in the community for this year’s inductees and the tremendous success of hosting our first ever awards ceremony and concert event at the Gibson Theater in Batesville Indiana. A capacity crowd of well over 300 people were in attendance for the show. The entire board would like to offer a most sincere thank you to Kim Powell and the entire Powell family at the Gibson Theater for your support and all of your help with the event. Thank you to all who came out to the show and for supporting local music.  We would like say thank you to all of the performers; Ron Hollowell, Josh Brock and Patrick Lynch, Jamie ‘Grascal Johnson, Shawn Byrne, and Susanne Mumpower… It was a wonderful night full of stories, great music, and Southeastern Indiana Music history rolled into one.

We would also like to thank Register Publications, Batesville Herald Tribune, Eagle Country 99.3 FM in Lawrenceburg and WBRI 103.9 FM in Batesville for your support of this year’s ceremony. We have a rich musical heritage in our community and it’s nice to see such support!
